In 2017, a year before my son and fellow podcast host John Stevenot unexpectedly passed away in his sleep due to a rare and asymptomatic heart condition, he finished a manuscript detailing how he changed his life through remote work.

Sometime after he died, I got the idea to locate his manuscript and see it through into final book form.

I am pleased to announce that John’s book is now available at Amazon.com

  • Are you tired of commuting to the office every day?
  • Are you sick of being trapped in a cubicle?
  • Do you want more freedom to say when, where and how you do your work?
  • Do you want more control of your daily schedule?
  • Do you want more time to take care of family and personal concerns?
  • Would you like to work in a way that adds more joy and meaning to your life today versus some far off time in the future?

If so, you are not alone!

John’s book is about his successful journey to control his time, location and income streams through remote work – and how you can do the same.

In John’s words,

“The point of this book is to give me the opportunity to herald the beautiful world that I have discovered.”

“Living day to day, fidgeting in an uncomfortable chair, tapping hours of my life away into an Excel spreadsheet was the last thing I ever wanted to do. But, as I saw my life slowly turning toward that reality, I realized I had to find a way to escape.”

“We can choose one of two paths in life: we can spend our days absorbed in busy work that has no real impact on our development, or we can spend our days doing the things that have meaning.”

In John’s writing, there is a directness and honesty that mirrors his personality. Beyond a few light edits, I made every effort to leave his voice intact.

I find John’s raw will to gather and bestow his deepest truisms to the reader to be stirring…

Particularly powerful are his exhortations to live fully in the present because no one knows how much time he or she ultimately has.

Please enjoy the words and wisdom of this remarkable and beautiful young man! It is my sincerest hope that you feel the presence of John’s spirit in this book.

Though his life ended too soon, I am forever grateful for having known him. John will remain a source of pride and inspiration for me, from now and until the end of my days.

Best,

Ted Stevenot
